This book actually takes on 3 perspectives, Peyton, Drake and Tristin. I didn't know what to expect but I do live a good sports romance, and this book was no exception. Drake is a great football player and is in a contract year when he gets a bad concussion. Tristin is his agent, trying to get him a great deal, but for some reason Drake doesn't feel he is doing his job. Peyton, first meets Tristin then Drake. We get a nice love triangle with the three of them, which didn't feel wrong in the slightest.
This book was a really quick read and I read it in one sitting.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book. Ellie and Katie are an amazing writing team. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to see what’s coming next. I loved Drake and Jennifer and Tristan and Peyton and the twist in all of their relationships. What a tangled web we weave…… I loved how all the characters’ lives are intertwined, what is Peyton going to do? She has feelings for Tristan and Drake, how can she choose? Will she choose and if so, who will it be? Feelings will be hurt and who will come out on top at the end of it all? Well I guess we will all just have to wait to find out. I highly recommend this book, I love both of the authors and never miss a book they write. Grab it now, ladies you will not be disappointed.
I love Ellie Danes. Her story's always suck in me. I love her writing and every details she gives to tell her story. Her story's are usually short, but I love every moment of each of them. She was 1 one my 1st author when I started reading, and I have yet to find something wrong with her stories and have yet found one I don't like.
Drake started out a bit slow for me, but after a few I was completely sucked in. I read this in 1 sitting. Drake is a big time football player and Tristan is he agent. After a few wrong moves, or some bits of misunderstanding, they both find themselves at a crossroad. Soon After they both fall for the same girl, Peyton. She knows everything about sports, but is in her way to find out what she truly wants.
I was a bit more invest in Tristan, my heart was with him from the start. I cant wait for Parker and see where this story goes next!
Honestly, I wasn’t sure about this book when I first started it. I read some reviews and the description so I knew that it was a triangle but I couldn’t figure out how they would resolve it without me feeling bad for at least one person. There is a part of me that feels bad for one person, I think that it worked well for the storyline. Someone’s review mentioned that they wished the book was longer and I have to agree because I want to know what happens immediately after the end (maybe book 2 will cover it). Some steamy scenes. No real ridiculous humor (not a romantic comedy). Good read.
Amazing!! Twist and turns on every page. The book is titled "Drake" but was a whole lot more than just about one man. Drake is NFL star player who is represented by Tristan, lawyer and professional athlete agent. The triangle between these two hot men and Payton was a page turner. When Drake is first introduced in the book I thought he was a cocky, pompass ass, but he redeemed himself with his kindheartness and selfless giving through the foundation he started for impoverished kids. His professional relationship with Tristan was rocky at best and he placed unfounded blame at Tristan, add in blindsiding him by asking out the woman Tristan had just started dating and things could easily have went downhill. But, not only did Payton handle her feelings toward these two men with grace and honesty, the men were able to control their alpha attitudes and continue their business relationship.
Great read! Ready for book 2!
Received this book as an ARC for a truthful review. To be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect of a sports romance, but loved it. However, I should have known better than to doubt Ellie, she rocks. Together with Katie Kyler, they write an amazing love story. If nothing else, you should read because the amazing cover...lol. I loved the story line and the love triangle with Drake, Peyton, and Tristan, it made me feel so many different things. I loved the twist and turns leaving me guessing how it was going to turn out between these three characters. You will be happy with the ending, well worth the read. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
The only negative thing I have to say is, I would love for her stories to be longer. She is an amazing writer and I have a hard time putting down her books.
